Kindergarten
Parent /Teacher Interviews: Week 9 Tuesday 16 June & Wednesday 17 June
This week the children heard the story of “The Second Little Gnome Who Called the Seed Babies to Bed”. In response to this story the children made little beeswax seed babies and put them to bed to sleep for the Winter.
In Morning Circle time, the children began working with copper rods. This copper rod work involves a series of movement exercises and verses designed by Jan Baker Finch a Queensland Eurythmy teacher. The movement exercises are very active and dynamic, so the children find it lots of fun and very engaging.
Our drink bottle holders are almost complete. Most of the bases are being sewn on and the finger-knitted handles are now waiting to be attached.

Class 1/2
We are looking forward to our excursion with Kindergarten next Thursday 11 June to Wentworth Falls Lake! Thank you to those who have already returned your yellow permission note.
This week we finished our Main Lesson exploring numbers large and small as well as the Four Helpers – General Divide, Tatiana Times, Farmer Plus and Molly Minus. Our Maths exploration and weekly form drawing will continue for the remainder of the term in daily practice lessons.
Class 1/2 had a lovely visit from Rachel on Wednesday who introduced the colour story and some fun games in Japanese. Perfect for the first windy week of Winter!

Class 3/4
Class 3/4 enjoyed learning about Blue Gropers, Green Sea Turtles, Blue Tongued Lizards and the Red Bellied Black snake. We also enjoyed a bush walk, started our lantern making and discussed why we like Winter as we said goodbye to autumn. On Tuesday we are looking forward to Sydney Zoo. Enjoy the long weekend.

Class 5/6
It’s cold and windy, which also seems to increase everyone’s appetites. Some people might need more warming foods in their lunch boxes. Geometry Main Lesson is lots of fun. Winter lanterns are a work in progress.
