Kindergarten/Boronia Room

This week the children enjoyed the story of “The King Who Wanted to Touch the Moon.” They are beginning to put the finishing touches on their Winter Mice, and they are very excited to be making these fun little soft toy creatures.  They are very keen to make their new little creations warm and cosy homes during the play.

The children’s play is amazing. They are full of unending ideas and energy to create imaginary worlds of wonder and cosy, complex dwellings for their animal friends.

We planned a walk to Turtle Rock and the children’s parents were invited to join us for this week’s Bush Kindy adventure – it was a lot of fun!

Have a great weekend.

Class 1/2

Warami (hello)!

It has been a beautiful week of sunshine.

Last Friday, Class 1/2 played their first session of basketball. Gardening gave us a great start to this week, and the children prepared a trellis for all the seedlings they planted.

Both classes continue their Main Lessons with new Dreaming Stories incorporating some Darug language.

Class 3/4

This week we welcome Samuel and Eva into Class 4. We hope to meet your families at a parent or community event sometime soon.

Class 3/4 have been learning division in our Maths practice lessons, including Long Division.

Our cross stitching is coming along fantastically, and we have also been learning to write in paragraphs, use inverted commas and write from another perspective.

Please check your emails for the Class Camp Note that was sent home earlier this week.

Have a great week.

Class 5/6

My name is Arya, and I am in Class 6.

This week we have been working on our ancient Rome Main Lesson. We have been writing creative writing stories with one or more aspects from the Romulus and Remus story we heard, and we have also been drawing Roman Borders such as grapevines, and wave patterns etc.

We have been doing our Circus Skills with Stuart every Friday, and this week we will be working on our performance for the end of the term.

We have just got some new library books in, and almost everyone has found a book they like.

Every Thursday we will be planning our Peer Support session which will be on Tuesdays.
