Kindergarten/Boronia Room

Thank you to the Kindergarten families, for all your support and care throughout the year. It has been a pleasure working with your children, they are so curious, beautiful, and fun-loving. Thank you so very much.

The children have spent a wonderful year playing together, making structures, digging in the sand pit, sharing stories and baking bread. The Kindergarten children have become so strong and capable. They enjoy running, swinging, balancing, and chasing each other. I am amazed and delighted by their abilities to interact, negotiate and socialise with each other. I love to witness the joy and enthusiasm they so freely express for life. It has been an honour and a privilege to work with this delightful group of children.

Wishing everyone a relaxing Summer break and a joyous Christmas.

Francine

Class 1/2

With our play rehearsals finished we started our new Main Lesson on “Inspirational People”. Please ask your children who they have learned about.

Our class dinner/sleepover was also this week. We are writing prospectively so I am sure you have heard updates on it already!

Next Wednesday, 11th December is the last day of school and our Summer Farewell Assembly, at 11:30am sharp. All families are welcome! It is preferable if your children can be picked up at 1pm that day, they are exhausted by this stage.

We would like to thank you for your support through what has been an incredible year of growth for all children. We loved being part of their journey and wish them all the best for Years 2 and 3!

Wishing you all an enjoyable, relaxing break with your families. Happy holidays to all!

Warm wishes,

Soumya, Amy, and Kath

Class 3/4

The time has come… it is almost the end of term!

It has been a wonderful and full term. The children worked and played very hard.

I would like to say farewell to Clara in Class 3 and her family. We will miss your presence in our school and wish you all the very best. Please come back and visit us sometime!

It has been a lovely year, and we will miss having the current Class 3 children next year. Thank you to all the families who have supported us throughout the year.

Hats are going home to be washed for 2025!

Please send in a bag on Monday for books, paintings etc.

We wish you a very happy, safe, and relaxing holiday.

See you next year!

Best wishes,

Julie and Meredith

Class 5/6

It is with mixed emotions I write the last entry for the year. I am so grateful for Arya and the many other students who volunteered to write the report for Class 5/6 this year. It was a truly eventful year for 5/6, and we have all grown so much in so many ways.

I think parents will agree that the students did a truly fantastic job both onstage and backstage to pull off the play based on the Ancient Greek myth Demeter and Persephone on Wednesday night.

The classroom was full for two performances and not one member of the cast forgot their lines or cues! The children put such a tremendous effort into all aspects of the production and seemed to be thrilled with the results. A huge thank you goes out to Naomi Webb, who made a significant contribution to costumes, set, lighting, makeup and amazingly produced a cast and crew photo board using photos taken on the day of production!

Class 6 also went to the Women’s Shed where they learned about safety equipment and how to use an electric drill and sander. They were mentored by some skillful craftspeople from the Blue Mountains Women’s Shed who worked tirelessly to help them bring their creative designs to life.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at Blue Mountains Steiner School and am so grateful to have been so warmly welcomed into such a kind and inclusive community. Thank you.

On behalf of Lee and Class 5/6, I would like to like to wish you a fun and restorative holiday and a memorable Christmas.
