Position vacant: School Bus Driver (MR Licence)
Blue Mountains Steiner School is seeking a reliable and caring MR-licenced School Bus Driver to join our community at Blue Mountains Steiner School. This position plays an important role in supporting students and families by providing safe and timely transport to and from school. The position will commence on a casual basis with a view to permanent part-time employment.
Position Details:
- Hours: Monday to Friday, during school terms only, 22.5 hours per week
- Run Times: Morning and afternoon school bus runs
- Location: Hazelbrook, NSW
- Start Date: As soon as possible
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 32-seat school bus in accordance with road and safety regulations
- Ensure the wellbeing of students during transport
- Maintain punctuality and reliability for all runs
- Carry out basic vehicle checks and keep the bus in clean condition
- Work collaboratively with school staff and families in line with Steiner school values
Essential Requirements:
- Current MR (Medium Rigid) Driver’s Licence
- Working With Children Check (WWCC) clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- Demonstrated safe driving record
- Friendly, professional, and student-focused approach
- Completion of Child Protection, WHS, Code of Conduct training as required
Desirable:
- Experience working with children or in a school environment
- Understanding of Steiner education ethos (training will be provided)
